Whitney Houston, female R&B legend, was found at by her bodyguard in her 4th floor hotel on Saturday 12th, the eve of the Grammy Awards. Paramedics rushed to scene within minutes after the alarm call but to no avail, they were unable to revive and the singer was pronounced dead at 3.55pm.

Houston sold over 170 million records worldwide and had over 600 awards to her name including 6 Grammys, 30 Billboard Awards and 22 American Music Awards. She also received page spreads during her career due to her marriage with Bobby Brown and substance abuse.

Police investigations are currently ongoing – foul play is not suspected.

Her untimely and unexpected death has caused a wave of tributes to pour in and it can be suspected that some last minute changes will be made to tonight’s Grammy awards.
