It has come to light that William Orbit may be helping to produce the new Blur record. Orbit worked on Blur’s material in the past, especially one of their most highly regarded works ’13’. ’13’ was the last album Coxon truly worked on, only featuring on one track for the follow up Think Tank.
Since Blur’s 2009 brief return the possibility of a new album has been on and off. The rumour mill started once again with the announcement the band are to be honoured at the Brit Awards this year for Outstanding Achievement.
Tweets from Orbit to Coxon and Facebook posts by Orbit have hinted at the possibility of the recording sessions.
