Canadian Astronaut revealed a music video cover of David Bowie’s Space Oddity from the International Space Station.
The lyrics have been tweaked a little to reflect a less threatening outlook for the astronaut. Chris Hadfield had previously recorded the song Jewel in the Night whilst in Space and this cover was also recorded somewhat in Space. His son Evan took his father’s vocal and guitar work recorded in Space, cleaned it up a little and then finished off the instrumentation and work around it.
In fact David Bowie himself endorsed this remarkable moment by tweeting it with a nice comment beside.

So Chris is the first person to write a song in Space, perform a cover and a music video. Impressive accolades, and possibly only the beginning of future Space music endeavours.
Here’s Chris’s Jewel in the Night also recorded in Space.
Also we’re aware we’re a little late with this news, but we thought we’d post it regardless.
