News Round Up: Sabbath Tour Cancelled, SBTRKT Remix, Whitney Houston

Black Sabbath have cancelled all of their reunion tour except the Headline slot at Download Festival, due to Tony Iommi’s health and case of lymphoma. The tour has been rescheduled as ‘Ozzy and Friends’, featuring old Ozzy guitarist and Black Label Society front man Zakk Wylde, Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler and Slash. We are also pretty sure that due to the line up of Sunday nights Download festival, it is possible that even though Tony Iommi is still playing that show, Zakk Wylde and other guitarists and members playing the same day might feature to help back up the band. Get better Mr Iommi

SBTRKT has been building up some steam for a while and his debut album last year got a warm reception. I’ve listened to it and may write a review on it at a later date as I personally did enjoy it. It seems that Thom Yorke as ‘Sisi Bakbak’ has remixed SBTRKT’s new single ‘Hold On’. At the moment this is just theory however it seems entirely likely due to the remix itself and tweets by Rob Da Bank (BBC DJ) where he stated he was listening to Thom Yorke’s remix for the 18th time. Also some other comments and reasons. Rumours though, who fuels them? The stone cutters, that’s who.

Whitney Houston’s funeral plans and guests are slowly being unveiled. Guest and performers include Godmother Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and her ex husband Bobby Brown. Dionne Warick and other family members have kept it a private service, however have agreed for a single camera broadcast live onto the internet.

Can’t get enough of her, except you can, Adele has played down rumours of her self alleged hiatus. Also the Grammy’s happened at some point. Bughum.
